home of 2nd edition AD&D
PurpleWorm.org is a fan web site dedicated to the 2nd edition of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. We promote the discussion of all editions of D&D, other RPGs and retro-clones. By being as inclusive as possible in our discussion topics, we can bring together the best ideas from all RPG genres and editions to make our Second Edition AD&D games and discussion more productive and exciting.
historical preservation and research
Most societies place importance on preserving artifacts of their culture and heritage. Without such artifacts, civilization has no memory and no mechanism to learn from its successes and failures. Our culture now produces more and more artifacts in digital form. We want to help preserve those artifacts for researchers, historians, scholars and enthusiasts.
